Words from.... Veronica

Hello everyone!My name is Veronica Smith. Many of you may know me as the little blonde Smith girl from church. Yes, that is often my identity around St. Aidan's. However, I am not so little anymore and am one ninth of your very own Missions Team! When Caroline came to us with the idea of going on a short-term missions trip, to France no less, I was thinking, "this is so exciting!" of course, like everyone was, but I was also thinking, "wow, this is big. I guess we really are growing up!". That's been the main thing going through my mind lately as we all put so much time and effort into this exciting project. Fundraising and planning has so far and will continue to be such a bonding experience for us all, right when we thought we could never get any closer! Going through this experience (and this is just the beginning) at one of my very favourite places, our St. Aidan's Church, has been unreal. This is where I grew up, this is where I feel safe and at home, and this is where my heart will always be. I am so inexplicably excited to represent my home, and our country as I go to France to spread the Word of the Lord and the joy I have in Christ.
